stackless stack
The stackless stack is an opinionanted web development stack hacked together by yours truly.
- void linux: opinionanted and sane base operating system. also acceptible- gentoo, alpine
- zfs: all the features you might need including dataset streaming, snapshots, and encryption
- yggdrasil: arbitrary virtual network topology hacks
- dollctl: devops, infra as code, observability, supervision, data management, virtualization
- lighttpd: capable yet lightweight reverse proxy. easy to configure
- eureka: create static websites and wikis with ease
- nirvash: manage eureka sites for people who are afraid of the terminal
- quartzgun: build webapps and APIs
- vanilla js: getElementById or web components, as needed; theme my app- sunfaced app, moonfaced app
It's not that there is no stack, simply that it is empty.
In this way, 'empty' means the components of the stack are not considered in a vacuum but the stack is holistically designed to organically enable the application to evolve.
- We create the tools we need if nothing adequate exists; this has been confirmed by countless dev ancestors.
- The best design is from 0; Fresh, formless, limitless.
- A hammer is a hammer; a map is a map. Seeing a tool clearly may require a double-take. Using it properly takes practice.
